Current prosthetic legs are expensive and only last 3 to 4 years. To win this challenge you must create a complete design for high-performance legs that will last for at least 5 years and that can be built for less than USD$1,000.00
Users must be able to run and sprint comfortably as well to stand still unassisted. It is not a requirement that the legs look like natural legs so be creative!
Must allow users to jog, sprint and stand still unassisted. If state transitions are necessary, it must be automatic.
If batteries are used, it must last for at least 12 of walking use.
Must cost less than USD$1,000.00 to build.
