TweetRoll is a Twitter widget which lets you flaunt details from your Twitter profile, specifically your friends avatars and your follower/friend count, on your blog or web page. Adding the widget to your page is as simple as adding a single line of Javascript and we do all the magic. The widget can also show your recent Tweets and is fully customizable.

We've made use of the Sponsored Tweets API to supplement the functionality of the widget and give widget users the ability to advertise their availability via the SponsoredTweets.com platform. If you have a Sponsored Tweets account, the widget will automatically detect this and add a special section that shows visitors how much it will cost to "Sponsor a Tweet". Clicking on the link takes a visitor directly to your Sponsored Tweets profile page enabling a visitor to sponsors one or more of your Tweets, as well as providing you a referral if the visitor is new to Sponsored Tweets.

Elements of Sponsored Tweets have also been embedded in the widget's backend. We've added functionality so that TweetRoll users who aren't signed up to Sponsored Tweets are given the opportunity to do so and monetize their Twitter account.

The Sponsored Tweets API presents a great opportunity to take our widget to new heights and leverage some new synergies. Sponsored Tweets gives us the opportunity to thank our users for their loyalty and present them with an opportunity to monetize their online efforts. On the other hand we have a large user base and growing brand recognition (having displayed the widget over 24 million times to date) and hope our user base presents some interesting value and an exciting opportunity to Izea. We certainly think it's a great partnership.

Check out the sample and use the form down at http://www.tweetburn.com to create your own TweetRoll and see your Sponsored Tweets link in action.

  • We have what we think is a killer idea, but there is unlikely we are going to be able to finish a technical proof of concept or demonstration of integration in 48 hours. Is this contest for the idea or the demonstration of the idea?

    • This is for an implemented solution. If you can't make it in time for this contest you may still be able to win the mega mac challenge if your solution works. http://sponsoredtweets.com/megamac-challenge/
